Brittany Cooper, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and Virginia. I have a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (2017) and a Master of Social Work from New York University (2019). At NYU, I interned with Educational Alliance, providing mental health counseling to the elderly. I also interned at Brooklyn Defenders Services, where I visited Riker’s Island and other New York City jails to gather client testimony regarding jail conditions. Testimonies were formalized and read at Board of Corrections meetings to advocate for criminal justice reform in New York City on the micro and macro levels.
After receiving my MSW, I moved to Miami, Florida, to work as a Mitigation Specialist at the Law Offices of the Public Defender. I am a full-time school social worker who provides behavioral, emotional, and community referral interventions to students and their families.
Advocating For You, LLC was founded in 2022. Its mission is to develop clients’ autonomy and advocacy skills so that they can optimistically confront life’s obstacles, promote resilience, and increase self-esteem. I am happy to assist with a variety of services.
